Integrin a4b7 is composed of a 150kD (a4 or CD49d) and a 130kD (b7) heterodimer, also known as CD49d/b7, or LPAM-1. It belongs to Ig superfamily found on majority of peripheral lymphocytes and subsets of thymocytes and bone marrow cells (including mast cell progenitors). Integrin a4b7 binds its ligands, VCAM-1 (CD106), MAdCAM-1 and fibronectin, and plays an important role in lymphocytes adhesion and helps direct the migration of blood lymphocytes to the intestine and associated lymphoid tissues.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:200 Immunohistochemistry(Paraffin): 1:100-1:400 Immunoprecipitation: 1:100-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
