Recombinant monoclonal antibody to V5 epitope tag with variable regions (i.e., specificity) from the hybridoma SV5-P-K. Manufactured using a proprietary recombinant platform technology. This is a reformatted mouse IgG2c antibody, based on the original mouse IgG1 format.

The V5 epitope tag is a small epitope, termed Pk, present on the P/V proteins of the paramyxovirus, SV5.

Applications

Suitable for use in RIA, Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry (frozen). Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution

Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Specificity

Recognizes a 14aa sequence (GKPIPNPLLGLDST) derived from the P and V proteins of the ParamyxoVirus simian virus 5.
