ARF1 (ADP-ribosylation factor 1) is a member of the ARF family of small G proteins (guanine nucleotide-binding proteins). It is a component of Golgi-derived non-clathrin coated vesicles. Arf and other related small GTPases are an important part of the membrane traffic with both exocytic and endocytic pathways. ARF1 helps regulate the binding and releasing of coat proteins on membranes to form transport vesicles. It is also known to play a role in vessicular trafficking of phospholipase D.

Applications
Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal amino acid sequence of human ARF1.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human ADP Ribosylation Factor 1. Species Crossreactivity: mouse and rat
