Applications
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1-2ug/ml with an overnight incubation at 4ºC. An AP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a red chromogen. Heat induced antigen retrieval with sodium citrate, pH 6, is reccommended. ELISA (Sandwich): 0.5-2ug/ml using 100ul/well antibody solution in conjunction with biotinylated anti-human PF4 (P3360A) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 2000-4000pg/ml of recombinant human PF4 Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant human PF4 is 1.5-3ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to human PF4 derived from E. coli.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human PF4 (Platelet Factor 4).
