| 14-3-3 proteins are present as multigene Protein kinase C inhibitor protein 1, KCIP-1 families in most organisms. Signal-induced phosphorylation has the ability to change protein function. Sometimes, however, phosphorylation is not enough to change a protein's function. 14-3-3 proteins play an important role of bringing signal transduction to completion. They regulate many cellular processes that are important in cancer biology, such as apoptosis and cell-cycle checkpoints. | | | Catalog # | 0014-07E | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1:1,000. Detects a band of ~ 33kD. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1,k | | Clone No | 9A70 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~6.8mg/ml | | Form | As reported | | Purity | Ascites | | Immunogen | This antibody was raised against an N-terminal fragment of human 14-3-3 gamma. | | Specificity | Specific for human 14-3-3 gamma. Species Crossreactivity: Reacts with the human form of intact, non-modified N-terminus 14-3-3 gamma. The naturally occurring form of 14-3-3 gamma in which the N-terminus Met is removed and the Val is acetylated is not recognized by this antibody. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. | | Alternate names | Protein kinase C inhibitor protein 1, KCIP-1, Tyrosine 3-monooxygenase/tryptophan 5-monooxygenase activation protein, gamma polypeptide, YWHAG |
