| 6-Hydroxydopamine is a selective catecholaminergic neurotoxin. Studies show that 6-Hydroxydopamine can be used to create an animal model of Parkinson's disease as it causes almost complete destruction of nigral dopaminergic neurons and their striatal terminals when injected into the substantia nigra of rats. 6-Hydroxydopamine induces apoptosis in PC12 cells. | | | Catalog # | 013705 | | | | CAS Number | 28094-15-7 | | Molecular Formula | C8H12ClNO3 | | Molecular Weight | 205.64 | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological.
