CLMP, ACAM, ASAM, CXADR-like membrane protein, Adipocyte adhesion molecule, Coxsackie- and adenovirus receptor-like membrane protein

The CTX (see VSIG2, MIM 606011) family of proteins, including ASAM, are type I transmembrane proteins within the Ig superfamily that localize to junctional complexes between endothelial and epithelial cells and may play a role in cell-cell adhesion.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin/Leica): 1:500. Heat induced antigen retrieval with EDTA Buffer, pH 9.0 is recommended. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 81-110 in the central region of human ASAM. Species Sequence Homology: rat
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide
Purity
Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography
Specificity
Recognizes human ASAM. Species Crossreactivity: mouse
