This is the heme-containing component of the cytochrome b-c1 complex, which accepts electrons from Rieske protein and transfers electrons to cytochrome c in the mitochondrial respiratory chain.

Recommended Dilution

ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Immunogen

CYC1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 270-299 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CYC1.

Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
