DGAT2, Diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2, Acyl-CoA retinol O-fatty-acyltransferase, Diglyceride acyltransferase 2

Acyl-CoA:diacylglycerol acyltransferase, or DGAT (EC 2.3.1.20), is responsible for the synthesis of triglycerides. It catalyzes a reaction in which diacylglycerol is covalently joined to long chain fatty acyl-CoAs.

Applications

Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilution

Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 1-30 in the N-terminal region of human DGAT2, UniProt Accession #Q96PD7.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.

Purity

Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.

Specificity

Recognizes human DGAT2.
