G6PC, G6PT, Glucose-6-phosphatase, Glucose-6-phosphatase alpha

Glucose-6-phosphatase is an integral membrane protein of the endoplasmic reticulum that catalyzes the hydrolysis of D-glucose 6-phosphate to D-glucose and orthophosphate. It is a key enzyme in glucose homeostasis, functioning in gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis. Defects in the enzyme cause glycogen storage disease type I.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Indirect Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100 Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within aa123-149 in the central region of human G6PC.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.
Specificity
