GPC6, Glypican-6, Secreted glypican-6

The glypicans comprise a family of glycosylphosphatidylinositol- anchored heparan sulfate proteoglycans, and they have been implicated in the control of cell growth and cell division. The glypican encoded by this gene is a putative cell surface coreceptor for growth factors, extracellular matrix proteins, proteases and anti-proteases.

Applications

Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Indirect Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.

Recommended Dilutions

Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100 Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 496-528 in the C-terminal region of human GPC6.

Form

upplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.

Purity

Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.

Specificity

Recognizes human GPC6.
