Major glycoprotein component of a variety of mucus gels. Thought to provide a protective, lubricating barrier against particles and infectious agents at mucosal surfaces (By similarity).

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
MUC3B antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 873-901 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human MUC3B.
