MYBPC1, MYBPCS, Myosin-binding protein C, slow-type, C-protein, skeletal muscle slow isoform

Thick filament-associated protein located in the crossbridge region of vertebrate striated muscle a bands. In vitro it binds MHC, F-actin and native thin filaments, and modifies the activity of actin-activated myosin ATPase. It may modulate muscle contraction or may play a more structural role.

ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Immunogen

MYBPC1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 749-778 amino acids from the Central region of human MYBPC1.
