PPP1R14C, KEPI, Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 14C, Kinase-enhanced PP1 inhibitor, PKC-potentiated PP1 inhibitory protein, Serologically defined breast cancer antigen NY-BR-81

The degree of protein phosphorylation is regulated by a balance of protein kinase and phosphatase activities. Protein phosphatase-1 (PP1; see MIM 176875) is a signal-transducing phosphatase that influences neuronal activity, protein synthesis, metabolism, muscle contraction, and cell division. PPP1R14C is an inhibitor of PP1 (Liu et al., 2002).

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
PP1R14C antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 133-163 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human PP1R14C.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human PP1R14C. Species crossreactivity: mouse.
