PTGFRN, CD9P1, EWIF, FPRP, KIAA1436, Prostaglandin F2 receptor negative regulator, CD9 partner 1, Glu-Trp-Ile EWI motif-containing protein F, Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor regulatory protein, Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor-associated protein, CD315

PTGFRN inhibits the binding of prostaglandin F2-alpha (PGF2-alpha) to its specific FP receptor, by decreasing the receptor number rather than the affinity constant. Functional coupling with the prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor seems to occur (By similarity).

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 458-485 in the central region of human PTGFRN.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
Specificity
Recognizes human PTGFRN. Species Crossreactivity: mouse.
