Receptor for relaxins. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins leading to stimulation of adenylate cyclase and an increase of cAMP. Binding of the ligand may also activate a tyrosine kinase pathway that inhibits the activity of a phosphodiesterase that degrades cAMP.

Applications

Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested.

Recommended Dilution

Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within 685-713 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human RXFP1.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.09% sodium azide.

Purity

Purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.

Specificity

Recognizes human RXFP1.
