Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Rabbit Supernatant B IH
FTCD is a folate-dependent enzyme that displays both transferase and deaminase activity. It serves to channel one-carbon units from formiminoglutamate to the folate pool. FTCD binds and promotes bundling of vimentin filaments originating from the Golgi. Defects in FTCD are the cause of glutamate formiminotransferase deficiency (FIGLU-URIA), also known as formiminoglutamicaciduria (FIGLU-uria) (1).
