BHMT is a cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of betaine and homocysteine to dimethylglycine and methionine, respectively. Defects in this protein could lead to hyperhomocyst(e)inemia, but such a defect has not yet been observed (1).

Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:10,000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:250-1:500

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
