Haloacid dehalogenase-like hydrolase domain containing 2, also known HDHD2, belongs to the HAD-like hydrolase superfamily. This family of hydrolase enzymes includes L-2-haloacid dehalogenase, epoxide hydrolases and phosphatases. HDHD2 has two active sites, an L-2-haloacid dehalogenase and a carboxylate group. The L-2-haloacid dehalogenase active site catalyzes the hydrolytic dehalogenation of D-and L-2-haloalkanoic acids, producing L-and D-2-hydroxyalkanoic acids.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
