Carcinoembryonic Antigen is a fetal protein found in the liver, intestine and pancreas, where levels fall following birth. Raised levels are seen in patients with cancer of the digestive tract or certain non-malignant conditions especially; hepatitis, cirrhosis, pancreatitis and Crohn’s disease. Smokers also have raised levels. This clone is recommended as a Detection antibody.

Recommended DilutionOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
