Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified E
Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels are used as an indicator of blood glucose in diabetic patients. It is formed by the conjugation of a hexose sugar to the beta-chain of hemoglobin A1c. HbA1c builds up in red blood cells throughout the lifetime of diabetic patients and its levels therefore represent a record of blood glucose levels over the previous 6-8 weeks. The subunit has a molecular weight of 18kD.
