Specifications

7-Dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC) BioAssay™ ELISA Kit (Human) employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for 7-Dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) labeled 7-Dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC) and unlabeled 7-Dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific for 7-Dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of 7-Dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of 7-Dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC) in the sample.
Catalog #152202
Detection Range1.23-100ug/ml
Sensitivity<0.47ug/ml
Sample MatrixSerum, plasma and other biological fluids.
Cross ReactivityThis assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of 7-Dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between 7-Dehydrocholesterol (7-DHC) and analogues was observed.
StabilityThe stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Storage and StabilityDesiccation recommended. The Standard, Detection Reagent A, Detection Reagent B and the 96-well strip plate should be stored at -20°C upon receipt. Store all other reagents at 4°C. Stable for 6 months after receipt of order.
Important NoteThis product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological.
