| ABCA7, an ATP-binding cassette, sub-family A (ABC1), member 7, is highly homologous to ABCA1 and mediates cellular cholesterol and phospholipid release by apolipoproteins. The ABCA7 gene is regulated by sterol in the opposite direction to ABCA1 through SRE/SREBP2. The expression of ABCA7 by this regulation is associated with phagocytic activity. As well, it binds APOA1 and may function in apolipoprotein-mediated phospholipid efflux from cells and may mediate cholesterol efflux. | | | Catalog # | A0004-02Q | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot.
