| Produced in goats immunized with human alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein (h alpha 1-Acid Glycoprotein) purified from human plasma. Human alpha 1-Acid Glycoprotein specific IgG was purified by human alpha 1-Acid Glycoprotein affinity chromatography. alpha 1-acid Glycoprotein, also known as orosomucoid-1, is a positive acute-phase reactant that is produced by the liver and secreted in plasma. Plasma alpha 1-acid concentration increases in response to inflammation and infection. alpha 1-acid glycoprotein belongs to the lipocalin family and binds | | | numerous basic and neutral lipophilic drugs and steroid hormones. It is a 183aa protein with 5 N-linked glycans that comprises 45% of the 43kD mass of the protein. The human and mouse protein share 43% aa sequence identity. | | | | | | Applications: | | | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | | Catalog # | A0550-10B | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml | | Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.2mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder in 0.2um sterile-filtered solution in PBS, 5% trehalose.
