| ACOX2 belongs to the acyl-CoA oxidases family. It is a branched-chain acyl-CoA oxidase, and is involved in the degradation of long branched fatty acids and bile acid intermediates in peroxisomes. It oxidizes the CoA esters of the bile acid intermediates di- and tri-hydroxycholestanoic acids. Mutations resulting in the deficiency of ACOX2 lead to the accumulation of branched fatty acids and bile acid intermediates. | | | Catalog # | A0667-20E | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
