Specifications

Acrolein is the simplest unsaturated aldehyde. It is produced widely but is most often immediately reacted with other products due to its instability and toxicity. It has a piercing, disagreeable, acrid smell similar to that of burning fat.

Applications	Suitable for use in ELISA Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, 0.1% merthiolate, 5-10ul of 1N HCl . Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Reconstituted product is stable for 1 month at 4ºC, For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Form	Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Labeled with BSA. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, 0.1% merthiolate. 5-10ul of 1N HCl may be added to enhance solubility.
