| Actin is a major component of the cytoskeleton. Actin can be resolved on the basis of its isoelectric points into three distinctive components: alpha, beta, and gamma in order of increasing isoelectric point. Anti-Muscle-Specific Actin recognizes alpha and gamma isotypes of all muscle groups. Non-muscle cells such as vascular endothelial cells and connective tissues are non-reactive. Also, neoplastic cells of non-muscle-derived tissue such as carcinomas, melanomas, and lymphomas are negative. This antibody is useful in the identification of rhabdoid cellular elements. | | | Catalog # | A0760-22 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:50-1:100 for 30 minutes at RT. No special pretreatment is required for the immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues. | | Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | Muscle | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
