| The ARPs are involved in diverse cellular processes, including vesicular transport, spindle orientation, nuclear migration and chromatin remodeling. This gene encodes a 53 kD subunit protein of the BAF (BRG1/brm-associated factor) complex in mammals, which is functionally related to SWI/SNF complex in S. cerevisiae and Drosophila; the latter is thought to facilitate transcriptional activation of specific genes by antagonizing chromatin-mediated transcriptional repression. Together with beta-actin, it is required for maximal ATPase activity of BRG1, and for the association of the BAF complex with chromatin/matrix. | | | Catalog # | A0760-95 | | Description | Recombinant Human ACTL6A produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 430 (1-429) amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 49.3kD. Recombinant ACTL6A contains T7 tag at N-terminus and is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. | | Applications | • ELISA • Inhibition Assays • Western Blotting | | Stability | Recombinant ACTL6A although stable at 140C for 1 week, should be stored desiccated below -180C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles. | | Molecular Weight | 49.3kD | | Source | E. coli | | Purity | Purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. | | Concentration | ~0.1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in 50mM Tris-acetate, pH 7.5, 1mM EDTA and 20% glycerol. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
