TNF alpha coverting enzyme (TACE), also known as ADAM17, is a type I membrane zinc protease of the ADAM family that functions as a major sheddase on the cell surface.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: Used as a detection antibody Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to human ADAM17 extracellular domain, Arg215-Asn671 (predicted), expressed in T.ni insect ovarian cell line (P78536).
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 50ug BSA. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile PBS, 0.1% BSA. Labeled with Biotin.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes human ADAM17. In direct ELISAs, does not crossreact with rmTACE, rmADAM10, or with rhADAM8 or rhADAM9.
