| TACE (TNF-alpha converting enzyme) protein is a membrane bound matalloprotease from ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease) family of proteins. It cleaves 26kD type II membrane-bound precursor of TNF-a into 17kD mature form which is secreted.
