| This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. This protein is a type I transmembrane protein implicated in asthma and bronchial hyperresponsiveness. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. | | | Catalog # | A0859-42A | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:64,000. | | Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml. Detected a band of ~ 80-90kD and strong ladder from 26 to 38kD after 1ug/ml antibody staining. This protein has a calculated MW of 87.7kD according to NP_079496.1. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | | | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in TBS, pH 7.2, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Synthetic peptide: CQSRRCRKNAFQEL, representing the internal region of the human protein according to NP_079496.1. | | Specificity | Species Crossreactivity: Crossreacts with Human. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. | | Alternate names | ADAM33, a disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain 33, HGNC, 15478, DJ964F7.1, DKFZp434K0521, FLJ35308, FLJ36751, MGC71889, a disintegrin and metalloprotease 33, disintegrin and reprolysin metalloproteinase family protein, metalloprotease disintegrin |
