Adenovirus 3 belongs to Adenoviridae, a family of viruses with at least 51 serotypes that cause a variety of illnesses, mostly being upper respiratory tract infections. Adenoviridae are dsDNA viruses and are the largest non-enveloped viruses.

Biological ActivityInactivity is confirmed by growth on 293 cells for two weeks with no CPE seen.
Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at-20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
