Adrenergic receptor kinase (beta-ARK1) also known as GRK2 is part of the G Serine /Threonine protein-coupled receptor kinase family (1). B-ARK1 specifically phosphorylates G protein-coupled receptors in their activated form (agonist-bound state). Phosphorylation occurs in the carboxyl terminal tail of the receptor(2). Additionally, phosphorylation of the receptor by B-ARK1 requires beta-Arrestin to induce complete homologous desentisization(3).

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
