| Control Peptide for Akt, 460-480 (PKB, Protein Kinase B, RAC-alpha), cat# A1124-07K | | | Catalog # | A1124-07K1 | | The PKB (RAC/akt) protein kinases are a family of second messenger-regulated serine/threonine kinases. Three mammalian isoforms (alpha, beta, gamma) have been identified so far; the alpha-isoform being the cellular homologue of the v-akt oncogene. Stimulation of cells with growth factors leads to activation of PKB by a phosphoinositide-3-kinase dependent signal transduction pathway. | | Sequence | acetyl CRPHFPQFSYSASGTA amide. | | Molecular Weight | ~1.75kD | | Applications | Suitable for use in block specific interaction of A1124-07K Akt, 460-480 antibody. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Should be used at 1ug/ul of antiserum per assay. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | Molecular Weight | ~1.75kD | | Purity | 95% pure. | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in 0.02M potassium phosphate, 0.15M sodium chloride, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
