| Recommended Dilutions | ELISA: 1:5000-1:15,000 |
| Immunohistochemistry: 1:7500. D-Alanine immunoreactive cell bodies located in the lateral thalamus of rat brain. Also, Immunoreactive cell bodies containing D-Alanine in the ventro-lateral thalamus of rat brain. |
| Specificity | Using a conjugate D-Alanine-Glutaraldehyde-protein carrier (BSA), antibody specificity was performed with an ELISA test by competition experiments with the following compounds : |
| Compound Cross-reactivity ratio (a) |
| D-Alanine-G-BSA 1L-Alanine-G-BSA 1/> 50,000Glycine-G-BSA 1/> 50,000D-Valine-G-BSA 1/> 50,000D-Leucine-G-BSA 1/> 50,000 |
| (a) | D-Alanine-G-BSA concentration/unconjugated or conjugated aminoacids concentration at half displacement. |
| G = Glutaraldehyde. |
| Recommended dilutionThe anti-conjugated b-alanine antibodies can be diluted between 1/2,000-1/10,000. |
| Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
