Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified E B
Bovine serum albumin (BSA) is the most abundant protein in bovine plasma. BSA is produced in the liver and the concentration of BSA in plasma is 35-50mg/ml. The molecular mass is 69kD (1).
Catalog #A1275-06C
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionELISA: 1:1000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
HybridomaSp2/0 Ag14. Female CF1 x Balb c mice immunized i.p. with immunogen adsorbed onto Al(OH)3.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Clone TypeMonoclonal
Clone No6F10
FormSupplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 15mM sodium azide. Glycerol-free.
PurityPurified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
ImmunogenBovine serum albumin isolated from bovine plasma.
SpecificityRecognizes bovine serum albumin (BSA). No crossreactivity with rabbit serum albumin. Reacts with HSA, but only a quarter as strong as the reaction with BSA. Crossreactivity with other species not tested. Reacts strongly with BSA. Strong reaction is seen in ELISA with bovine serum albumin coated directly onto the microtiter well. In Western blot after SDS-PAGE, reacts with bovine albumin.
