| Albumin is a stable small polypeptide with a strong antigenicity. Its molecular weight is about 69000. It has a high mobility in electrophoresis, shows macro-heterogeneity especially under pathological conditions and it can bind a large number of physiological and non-physiological molecules. | | | Catalog # | A1327-70F | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Double Radial Immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Fluorescein/IgG protein molar ratio (F/P) | ~1.4. | | Excitation | 492nm | | Emission | 515nm | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Rabbit | | Concentration | Not determined | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2. No preservatives added. Labeled with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). Reconstitute in 1ml sterile ddH2O. Dilute further in PBS, pH 7.2. | | Purity | Purified by DEAE chromatography. | | Immunogen | Albumin is isolated and purified from rabbit serum | | Specificity | Recognizes rabbit albumin serum. In immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony), against the immunogen, a single characteristic precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin lines obtained against rabbit serum and the purified albumin. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
