The expression of androgen receptor (AR) is reportedly inversely correlated with histologic grade i.e. well differentiated prostate tumors show higher expression than the poorly differentiated tumors. In prostate cancer, AR has been proposed as a marker of hormoneresponsiveness.

Applications	Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution	Immunoprecipitation (Denatured): 10ug/mg protein lysate
	(Use Protein A).
	Western Blot: 5ug/ml for 2hrs at RT
	Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:25-1:50 for 30 min at RT. Note: Requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6, for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control	LnCap cells or prostate carcinoma
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
