Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Supernatant E B IH
CD143 exists in two forms, a 170kD somatic form and a 90kD germinal form. The somatic form is expressed by endothelial cells (especially those of lung capillaries and arterioles), epithelial cells (especially in proximal renal tubules and small intestine), by some neuronal cells and variably by some macrophages and T lymphocytes. The germinal form is expresssed by spermatozoa. Study of CD143 may be relevant to fertility (especially sperm-egg interactions), atherosclerosis and in drug targeting to the lung.
Catalog #A2295-02C
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 1:50-1:100
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Neat. 1:20. Requites antigen retrieval using heat treatment methods prior to staining.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
HybridomaSpleen cells from immunized Balb/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse X63-Ag8-653 myeloma cell line.
Recommended Positive Control TissueKidney (lung in rat studies)
Recommended Negative ControlI1904-79G: IgG1, Mouse, Negative Control
Recommended Secondary ReagentsI1904-65W: IgG, F(abí)2 (HRP) Pab RbxMo
I1904-66C: IgG, F(abí)2, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab RbxMo
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol 40-50%, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
