| Apolipoprotein A-1 (apo A-1) in human plasma is a major protein component of high density lipoprotein (HDL). The molecular mass is 24kD. Apo A-1 is a cofactor for enzymes involved in the normal turnover of cholesterol and is produced in the liver. Plasma concentration is 2.7-3.8mg/ml (1). | | | Catalog # | A2299-26A | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:500 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Hybridoma | X63-Ag8.653. Female CF1 x Balb/c mice immunized i.p. with immunogen adsorbed onto Al(OH)3. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1,k | | Clone No | 6F31 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 15mM sodium azide, before the addition of glycerol to 40%. | | Purity | Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography from culture supernatant. | | Immunogen | Apo A-1 isolated from human plasma. | | Specificity | Has specificity for apo A-1 from human serum/plasma. No crossreactivity is seen with human apolipoprotein B. Reacts with apo A-1 from human serum/plasma when tested in sandwich ELISA, using a polyclonal antibody as coat. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
