| Apolipoprotein AII is the second most abundant protein of the high density lipoprotein particles. The apolipoprotein AII gene consists of 4 exons and 3 introns. The four exons encode the 5' untranslated region, pre peptide, a short N terminal domain and a C terminal domain composed of a variable number of lipid binding amphipathic helices. Familial apolipoprotein AII deficiency may result from a splice junction alteration which blocks splicing of intron 3 from the primary transcript and result in the formation of a non functional mRNA. | | | Catalog # | A2299-32K | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:2,000-1:8,000 | | Western Blot: 1:200-1:2,000 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C.
