| Apolipoprotein AII is the second most abundant protein of the high density lipoprotein particles. The apolipoprotein AII gene consists of 4 exons and 3 introns. The four exons encode the 5' untranslated region, pre peptide, a short N terminal domain and a C terminal domain composed of a variable number of lipid binding amphipathic helices. Familial apolipoprotein AII deficiency may result from a splice junction alteration which blocks splicing of intron 3 from the primary transcript and result in the formation of a non functional mRNA. | | | Catalog # | A2299-32L | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | ELISA: 1:200-1:6,000 | | Western Blot: 1:200-1:6,000 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. HRP conjugates are sensitive to light. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | As reported | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder from 50mM PBS, 0.1M sodium chloride, pH 7.4, 10mg/ml BSA, 0.01% thimerosal.
