Apolipoprotein B (apo B) in human plasma is a major protein of low density lipoproteins (LDL). The molecular mass is 260kD. Apo B binds to specific receptors on cell membranes and is involved in removal of LDL and very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol from circulation.

Recommended Dilution	ELISA: 1:16,000

Culture medium	RPMI with 10% fetal calf serum
Hybridoma	X63-Ag8.653. Female CF1 x Balb/c mice immunized i.p. with immunogen adsorbed onto Al(OH)3.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
