| The protein encoded by this gene was identified on the basis of its interaction with MAP3K12/DLK, a protein kinase known to be involved in the induction of cell apoptosis. This gene product contains a leucine zipper, which is a characteristic motif of transcription factors, and was shown to exhibit strong transactivation activity when fused to Gal4 DNA binding domain. Overexpression of this gene interfered with MAP3K12 induced apoptosis. | | | Catalog # | A2299-90U | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 2-5ug/mg lysate. | | Immunoprecipitation: 2-5ug/mg lysate. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | | | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~0.2mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in TBS, pH 7.2, 0.1% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | The epitope recognized by this antibody maps to a region between residue 125 and 175 of human apoptosis antagonizing transcription factor (Che-1) using the numbering given in entry NP_036270.1 (GeneID 26574). | | Specificity | Species Crossreactivity: Human.
