| Apoptosis Antagonizing Transcription Factor (AATF), also known as Che-1, is a ubiquitously expressed nuclear protein. Research indicates that AATF functions as a general inhibitor of the histone deacetylase HDAC1. It has been also demonstrated that AATF activates transcription factor E2F and that it is involved in the activation of anti-apoptotic pathways. AATF has been shown to protect neural cells against oxidative damage suggesting it may have therapeutic uses in Alzheimer's Disease. | | | Catalog # | A2299-90W | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 2.5ug/ml | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | Human testis | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only.
