Aquaporin 1 is a 28kD intergral membrane protein which was originally identified in red blood cells and the kidney. AQP1 is also expressd by the choroid plexus and various other tissues. The glycosylated forms of AQP1 range between 40-60kD in mass.

Recommended DilutionImmunohistochemistry (Frozen and paraffin): 1:500-1:1000, Note: Antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin section is required. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
ELISA: 1:1000-1:20,000
Immunoprecipitation: 1:1000-1:10,000
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000

HybridomaSpleen cells from immunized Balb/c mice were fused with the cells of Sp-2/0 Ag14 mouse myeloma cell line.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
