Artemin is a novel member of the GDNF family and demonstrated that it is the ligand for the former orphan receptor GFRalpha3-RET. Artemin is a survival factor for sensory and sympathetic neurons in culture, and its expression pattern suggests that it also in uences these neurons in vivo. Artemin can also activate the GFRalpha1-RET complex and supports the survival of dopaminergic midbrain neurons in culture

Applications	Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution	ELISA (Sandwich, Indirect): 0.5-2ug/ml (100ul/well antibody solution). Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant hArtemin
	Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Detection limit for recombinant hArtemin is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
