| Synthetic peptide (KRFLEDTTDDGE) corresponding to amino acids 3 to 14 of human ARTS (1). | | | Catalog # | A3595P | | Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. Mitochondrial proteins, such as cytochrome c, Apaf-1, and AIF play important role in apoptosis. A novel mitochondrial septin-like protein was identi ed recently and designated ARTS for apoptosis related protein in TGF-b signaling pathway (1). ARTS that is encoded by the human septin H5/PNUTL2/CDCrel2b gene (1-4) is located to mitochondria and translocates to the nucleus when apoptosis occurs. ARTS is expressed in many tissues. It enhances cell death induced by TGF-b and, to a lesser extent, by other apoptotic agents, such as TNF-a and Fas ligand. | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Storage and Stability | Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 25% glycerol and store at -20°C. May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | Source | Synthetic peptide | | Purity | Purified 60-70% | | Concentration | ~0.2mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a lyophilized powder. | | | | Intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications. |
