| Aspercolorin is an atypical cyclic tetrapeptide in which one of the amino acids is an 5-methoxyanthranilic acid. Recently, aspercolorin has found application as a secondary metabolite standard for polyphasic taxonomy for the identication of Aspergillus versicolor.
