Aspercolorin is an atypical cyclic tetrapeptide in which one of the amino acids is an 5-methoxyanthranilic acid. Recently, aspercolorin has found application as a secondary metabolite standard for polyphasic taxonomy for the identication of Aspergillus versicolor. No reports of any investigation of the pharmacology of aspercolorin are available in the literature.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
