ATM is a nuclear phosphoprotein involved in Ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T) an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by cerebellar ataxia, immune deficiencies, increased cancer predisposition, chromosomal instability and radiation sensitivity (1-2). This large protein (370kD) is involved in genome stability, cellular responses to DNA damage and cell cycle control. More than 100 mutations have been identified so far and are expected to inactivate the ATM protein by truncation or large deletions (3). Defects in ATM contribute to various B cell and T cell Leukemia (4).

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
